Profile Summary

Profile Summary Dr.K.Muthulekshmi, Professor, Department of Vedanta has 24 years of University teaching experience. She has participated and presented papers in various National and International seminars and conferences in and outside Kerala. She was awarded Kerala Sahitya Akademi award for best translation in 2008. She visited Department of Sanskrit , Calcutta University in 2009 for a two-weeks Teacher Exchange Programme and engaged classes there. Her translations include Charakapaithrukam, Susrutapaithrkam and Advaitam-atmadarsanathinte porul .She has co-edited the book Interpretation-Form and Function in Sanskrit knowledge systems with Dr.S.Sobhana and Dr.G.Narayanan,. Advaitaritisastravichara is her work on Advaitic methodology written in Sanskrit. She also writes articles related to culture and philosophy in magazines and periodicals. She is member of editorial board of Research Journal Kiranavali ( published by Sanskrit Research Foundation, Trivandrum) which is approved by UGC. She is a member of Advisory Board of Atmavidya magazine published by Kerala Atmavidyasamgham which was founded by Vagbhatanandan, the renaissance leader of Kerala. She serves as member of Board of Studies of Sanskrit in Fathima Mata National College, Kollam and St.Josephs College, Irinjalakuda. She serves as Director of Research and Development Cell of SSUS.

25 years of University teaching experience. Three years of administrative experience as Head of the department. Three years of research co ordination as Director, Research and Development Cell Serving as Dean of Faculty of Indian Metaphysics
