Profile Summary
Joined the University as Assistant Professor in July 1998 and served the University at the main centre in Kalady and at Trivandrum, Regional Campus as Lecturer, Reader, Associate Professor and Campus Director. At present, I am working as Professor, Dept. of History, Trivandrum Campus. I am also involved many academic endeavours and enforce curriculum activities of the Campus. I have served the university as member of Academic Council and Faculty of Social Science.Now i am having the additional charge of Director of planning And Development of the University.
Experience
Joined SUSS on as lecturer on 29 .07 .1998.Prior to that worked as Library professional. 21 years teaching experience and 17 years Research experience Produced seven PhD and at present guiding five scholars for PhD. Now working as Professor and Head of Department of History. Additional charge of Director of Planning and Development Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady.

Research Topics
My Doctoral degree is from the University of Kerala. It was Awarded in 1994 and the title of the thesis was The Kerala Grandhasala Sangham and its Socio- Cultural Contributions. It was a prime study in the area which was very much appreciated by my foreign Examiner. Under the Guidship of Late. Prof K.K. Kusumam, Head of Department, Dept. of History, University of Kerala. My topic of Specialisation is Modern History and I am particularly interested in the Cultural history of Kerala. Many of my papers are from these areas and majority of my students are working in this domain.
