Profile Summary
Dr. V. Vasanthakumari has received her Ph. D. in Sanskrit Vedanta from the University of Kerala. Her areas of research are Vedas, Upanisads, Bagavadgita and works of Sree Sankaracharya especially his commentaries. She has explored the materialistic (scientific) aspects explained by Sree Sankaracharya in his commentaries through her research, which is continuing for more than 25 years. Apart from academics she is interested in music and literature. She contribute to the society by imparting knowledge on various subjects in the form of public speeches, invited lectures, and programmes on other medias like All India Radio, TV Channel and YouTube. She also contribute by writing articles in various journals and periodicals.
